company was founded in 1851 by Thomas Ibbett as a blacksmiths shop in
Bells Yard, South Street in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. The business prospered
as general agricultural engineers, smiths and implement makers. Arthur
was the third son of Thomas who suceeded him after his death in 1904. Cyril was suceeded
by his son Val who saw the company move to the present 2.6 acre site
in Gt Paxton in 1968 to provide increased capacity for agricultural
and garden machinery sales and service. In the 1970's Arthur Ibbetts
Ltd sold the first Mecedes-Benz Unimog in the country and continue to
be one of the main dealers in the U.K. |
